Bitterroot Valley high school students (9th - 12th grade) are
invited to participate in ATR's “Montana's Natural Resources”
Art Contest. Artwork should demonstrate natural resources used
for economic benefit in Montana such as minerals, forests,
water, and fertile land that occur in nature. The top winning
designs will be displayed at ATR's office or Montana Bliss
Artworks in Hamilton.
The top five entries in each category will receive cash prizes as follows: 1st $500, 2nd $250, 3rd $150, 4th $100, 5th $50. One entry will be awarded an additional $150 for ”Best of Show.”
The schools with the most Top-10 winners will receive the following for their art program: 1st $500, 2nd $350, 3rd $250, 4th $100 - for a total of $4,500! In addition, three students will win art workshops from professional artists from Artists Along the Bitterroot.
Submitted artwork must be original. Entries are judged on creativity, craftsmanship, composition, and interpretation of the theme. Each piece must include an artist's statement and the title of the work. No late entries. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, held at ATR's Hamilton office on April 12th at 5pm.
