Bitterroot Valley high school students (9th — 12th grade) are invited to participate in ATR’s Bitterroot Valley Nature & Wildlife Art Contest. Artwork should demonstrate the natural beauty found in the Bitterroot; this includes unaltered land, geographical features, local plants and wildlife, and nature preserves. The top winning designs will be permanently displayed at ATR’s office and on our website.

Categories

  1. Sketch and Drawing (charcoal, pastel, pencil)
  2. Paint (acrylic, oil, watercolor)
  3. Sculpture (clay, stone, metal, ceramic)

Rules

Submitted artwork must be original. Entries judged on visual appeal, composition and creativity. Must include artist’s statement, title of the work, and contact information. One entry per person in each category. No late entries. Winners announced at ceremony held at ATR’s office April 14th at 5pm.

Prizes

The top four entries in each category will receive cash prizes listed above. In addition, the school with the most Top-10 winners will receive $500 for their art program. For a total of $3,500 in prizes!
